International fireworks competition

Due to the act of terrorism in Nice on July 14, 2016, both the International Fireworks Competition and the concerts at the Exotic Garden before fireworks, are canceled.

Concerts "tribute to..." are maintained at 8.30pm on the Port Hercule as follows :
- July 25 : Tribute to Elvis
- July 30 : Tribute to Motown
- August 6 : Tribute to Queen
- August 13 : Tribute to James Brown

This is a prized international competition, the first one on the Côte d'Azur, with pyrotechnical displays of the highest quality taking place every summer. Of all the fireworks events held around the world, Monte-Carlo is the only to attract as many different nations and participants.

Two shows, lasting 25 minutes each, are scheduled in July at 10 PM with two more following in August at 9h30 PM. Fireworks are shot from Port Hercule’s Grand Jetty.

The Jury is made up of members from Monaco’s Municipal Council as well as of representatives from the arts and the civilian world. The Jury is presided by the Mayor or by one of his Deputies.

A prize that is awarded by the general public through internet voting is also given.
